tried to go to that website and it will not go there. It keeps changing the address to something different......how do I fix
I'm waiting on an answer to this problem or a work around. I seems MAI8 has a problem with .NET Framework 3.5.1. It does work with 2.0. I will post an answer as soon as possible. It also may have to do with IE9.
Thanks for your patience

Everything I found on this issue shows two things. First, if you have a new machine ensure all of the updates are completed. Normally there are numerous updates to bring a new system online. Even if you think you have, go to Microsoft.com and ensure all updates are completed. Second, if you’re running a click to run version of Office 2010 there is a work around. Click to run is the trial version that comes with the computer, not a full version.
Before you install Microsoft Advertising Intelligence (MAI), make sure that you:
• Have Excel 2007 or 2010 installed on your computer.
• Close Excel before beginning the installation.
• Are connected to the Internet. Transfer times will vary depending on your connection type.
All users must upgrade to MAI version 8.0. All previous versions of MAI will no longer function as of May 15, 2012.
If you have the Click-to-Run version of Excel 2010 installed, follow this workaround before installing MAI.
Note: To determine if you have Click-to-Run, please refer to Excel’s Help: About screen.
If all of this is updated or completed follow the install procedure on the link I’m attaching.

Did you close Excel before trying to install MAI8, if you have send me the error code your getting.

Thanks for your POST! First, please ensure whichever browser you’re using is the most up to date and current version. Second, clean out all of your cookies and restart your computer. Restarting your computer is very important. Then use the link I’m supplying to do the download from. These steps should cure the problem; let me know of your progress.
I've had the same issue. I use IE9 (version 9.0.8) which appears to be the latest. I use Win 7. I have now restarted my computer twice, deleted all cookies, including those of my favorite links, and I keep getting the same issue as mentioned above. Anything else I should try other than uninstalling and reinstalling the download from your link?
did all of the above and still got the same results
Ok so the simple solution didn’t work so let’s go another route. In order to better troubleshoot this issue can you please tell me which version of Microsoft .NET Framework your PC is currently running? To locate this information please do the following:
Please go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows features on or off -> Check the box next to Microsoft .NET Framework .
Same issue here. Same specs... all the latest software and updates.
same issue here
I have excel and not click to run
you say you are providing a link but there is none
I have excel 2007, windows 7, framework 3.5.1. Have the same problem when installing mai8. It also apparently installed microsoft office 2010 Primary Interop Assemblies. My questions 1) How to fix? 2) How to undo? (e.g.what ift the 2010 Interop assemblies might cause problems for my other programs.)
i found the fix to this issue 100%
Thanks SeoTool77 - That fixed the problem!
