Integrated Editorial bypass/exception request. Would save larger resellers massive time in uploading data and fixing editorial rejections.
Ideally in tool:
1. Construct campaign in Desktop tool.
2. Attempt to sync, certain terms will fail due to editorial issues.
3. Click the Bypass/Exception request button for the failed terms, Re-Sync to upload the 'problem' terms with the Bypass/exception request attached.
This accomplishes two things: allows the users to upload data just once AND request an exception at the same time.
The way it is now, we have to attempt to upload, see the failure, request the bypass through email, wait for it to be applied, then attempt to reupload the data again (hoping the bypass was properly applied the first time).
Feature has been standard in the 'other' desktop tool for a good long while.
it will be great if the tool can be more admin & corporate friendly:
* no SQL Server at all
* MSI deployment - passing software Windows 7 logo program
uuugh, not breaking things that were working.
It used to work when I did an advanced filter and changed multiple bids, the screen would return with the filter still in place. With the latest version, the filter goes away and I have to reset it up.
It would also be nice if there was a support forum that did not require a captcha on every single post. I have no idea what the code is below. Wonder how many attempts I'll have to go through to pass.
Reason this changed was because of new custom user views and ability to also filter on parent properties. To achieve a sticky filter now you create and select a custom view and that will remain active on all entity tabs.
To create a custom view for keywords enter name in 'custom view name' and click 'Save custom view'. Then in 'View' select the name of your custom view and it will remain there.
Note that these views can have parent properties as well. For instance you can filter on adgroup name and filter on keyword properties at the same time. And filter will be applied everywhere.
That's not a good solution. The number of custom views will rapidly become unwieldy. I'll have to come up with complex naming conventions to keep them organized and I'll end spending more managing desktop than my account.
Please make filters persist without having to save them with a name.
You don't have to create a new filter for each. Instead of going to advanced you can select 'edit' in the view list and change that same filter.
But I'll file a request to also make regular filters sticky.
Great - that sounds like a decent workaround. I am glad it is scheduled for a request longer term.
Next request, numeric columns should sort largest to smallest on first pass. Sometimes the sort seems to persist and sometimes it doesn't - I haven't figured out the exact circumstances yet, but it should always persist.
BTW, the web interface should also sort numeric columns largest to smallest. It is silly to sort sometime like clicks or impressions and just seen a screen of zeros.
Is this feature (rename adgroup/campagin via ID) released already? If not, what's the estimated date for it?
It's already released. You can set the id using the id column in the import file. This will work for ad group and campaigns.
Would like search and replace for ad group names. Handy when you have identical ad groups that geo-target different locations in each campaign, and you need to change their names.
