Hello, My company currently owns and operates 200 websites. Instead of submitting individual feeds for each site, I am wondering about the feasibility of submitting one feed from our master store.
This file would likely have near one million products and be quite large.
Are there file size limits for the Bing Shopping FTP? What would you suggest the easiest way to get all products onto Bing Shopping be without submitting individual feeds.
Thank you in advance for helping with this!
Unfortunately, if you were to use this method to get your products on bing shopping, every product would show up as being for sale from the same store. Even though the URLs would be different, the products would still be tied to whichever store the feed was uploaded through.
That is actually OK, as it may play into a longer term branding strategy.
I am more concerned about the actaul size of feed not being able to be accepted.
We currently host feeds with over 4 million products, so there shouldn't be any issues.
Thanks for the info. That is great news. Is there anything we need to do to submit them or just like regualr FTP file? Reason I ask is because with the Google Merchant Center we have had to split up the large file into multiple files that we send over in a .zip format. If not and we can just send one normal file over that would be great!
Thanks again for your help,
The file needs to be sent as one file, so that won't be an issue at all. The feed can be sent as a regular text file, as a zip, or as a gzip.
I am going to apply for a new account today, and once I get approved andcaa get the FTP info I will begin submitting everything from one store.
