The Bing FTP server, feeds.adcenter.microsoft.com, has been down at night for the last couple days. We are an aggregator submitting multiple feeds. The server has been giving the login error, "User cannot log in", for almost all the feeds for the last two days. This is happening even though FTP credentials have not changed, and these are long-standing accounts.
In the several weeks prior to this, the FTP server was sporadically failing on login for feeds where the FTP username and password were being supplied correctly. The FTP server gives the login failed error even though multiple attempts are made to log in. This is happening during the early morning hours, when the feeds are automatically submitted.
Generally, resubmitting during the day seems to resolve this error, but it would be nice if the FTP server were reliable and worked during the night so all these feeds could be processed automatically.
Recently Bing Shopping's FTP servers have been undergoing sporadic maintenance. Hopefully BingTrav can shed some insight to their status.
I'm looking into this and I'll let you know what I find.
Atensoft, can you please provide me with a couple usernames that are failing?
Thanks for the quick response Travis. I sent some of user names into the email@example.com support address.
Please try uploading your feeds again.
Thanks for taking care of this. It looks like the FTP uploads are working normally again. I will post again if we see more issues.
I think the ftp server has been down for the past couple of days. The latest password still doesn't work.

I'm having the same issue with a new feed
FTP server responds with 530 user cannot log in
I've notified Bing Shopping about this issue.
In the interim it is a good idea to migrate over to Bing Shopping's new self service portal linked to Microsoft's adCenter. We wrote all about it here:
Also, e-mail your Bing Shopping account rep directly @ firstname.lastname@example.org and detail your problem.
Apparently this is still an issue. I created a new acocunt today and am getting the "530 User cannot log in" error. Any idea when Bing will get control fo this?
Did you create a new adCenter account?
Yes, that's correct. I created a new one yesterday. is there a certain "wait" period or something?
Yes, usually between 5 and 10 business days. Bing Shopping needs to check on the status of your website, basically a fraud protection program they're running on all merchants. If your FTP still says Inactive after 10 business days, send me an e-mail at email@example.com.
