Thanks for getting the FTP enabled for us. I uploaded our feed yesterday and saw that it was accepted into your system (although there were no indications as to whether it was imported or if there were any errors). I went back to check on it today to see if there is any update to the status and now I'm getting the following error:
Your Bing Shopping account management session has expired. To resolve this, access your account via the Tools tab or sign in to adCenter.
To get to that error, I log into our adcenter account, click on the tools menu and then click on the merchant link (i.e. exactly what the error seems to be telling us to do.). I've tried logging in and out multiple times and it doesn't have any effect. I'm using Firefox 4 and cleared my cookies to make sure there wasn't something odd going on. I tried Chrome and Safari, but apparently adcenter only lets us use browsers made by non-Microsoft competitors. Is the Bing merchant administration platform down?
Thanks again for your help. I'm looking forward to getting this feed running.
This issue is currently being worked on from our end; once a fix has been implemented I will reply to this post (and I will also check your account and verify that we received the feed).
I am searching for clarification on an issue related to waiting times. In your post, you state:
"You signed up for an adCenter account more than 10 days ago and your FTP account is still listed as Inactive. It can take up to 10 days to initially activate your FTP account."
I have had an adCenter account for months but only this week did I begin the process of registering for Bing Shopping and an FTP account. Does the 10 day wait for activating an FTP account apply equally to people who have long-established adCenter accounts and those who are just creating new adCenter accounts?
Thanks very much for the clarification.
Please send me a conversation message (click my name, then "Start a conversation with") with your account number and I will take a look at your account. If you are unable to make a conversation message, please reply to this post with your company name instead.
My company is the Nintendo Repair Shop, we have had an account for over a year now, but haven't used it in well over 30 days. Please activate our FTP so we can get a file loaded. Thanks.
Hello Nintendo Repair Shop,
Your account's FTP status is active. Please try to upload a feed and let me know (via conversation message by clicking my name then "Start a conversation with", or via reply to this thread) once a new feed has been uploaded.
Our account number is ********. The account is older than a month yet the FTP is still inactive. Would you be kind enough to activate the same? Bing Shopping has been great and we would like to continue submitting our feeds.
The adcenter website seems to be working again and we can get to the Bing Shopping tools page now, but I have not heard anything about the feed we submitted on the 2nd of May. The interface shows that the feed was received, but there is no indication that anything has been done with it or whether it was formatted correctly. We still have not received any emails from the adcenter team with regards to our account.
I am wondering if maybe we're stuck in some kind of limbo state. Can you help us figure out where we are in the process and what we need to do to make it out the other side of the tunnel?
I have an Inactive status for the FTP acct and receive the 503 error. See below for info. Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Though the FTP says active I am still not able to upload a feed. It gives me an ftp login error stating: Error was ftp_login(): User cannot log in.
theweekendmarket.com is the domain.
The second domain is for cuddleskidsbedding.com/ Cuddles Kids Bedding Boutique. Though the account is older than a month the FTP still says inactive. Can this be activated please so I can upload a feed?
Your help is greatly appreciated.
vagueadonis: Although your account was created more than 10 days ago, initial setup had not been completed on the account until today (when you created FTP user name and password), so we would not have been able to activate the account. Since it is now set up, I have activated your FTP account. Please let me know once you have uploaded a feed and I will review the feed file.
HitchSource.com: I have reviewed your feed file and while it has the following issues that should be addressed, the majority of the feed passes validation and I have activated your account. Please fix these errors for optimal feed file consumption:
Ok FTP for theweekendmarket.com works fine now. :)
With another account we aren't able to upload the logo no matter what we do. The size of the logo is 86 X 27. We have tried everthing possible but doesn't work. Says upload a valid image. Can you please check on this?
The logo must be exactly 88x31, so 86x27 will not work. Please see this forum's FAQ post for information on how to properly format your store's logo.
Also, please let me know once a feed file has been uploaded to the account that just had its FTP activated.
PS: Please do not post any account information, such as the account name, account number, and/or any user names or passwords.
Please delete my previous post as I did not see your reply. I will go ahead and try formatting the logo and uploading it again and let you know if that works.
I have uploaded a feed file for both theweekendmarket.com and cuddleskidsbedding.com. Sorry about posting the account number in my first post. Is posting the domain alright?
