On Oct 10, 2010, I filled out the form for Bing Shopping approval and received a confirmation email. On Nov 3, 2010 since I hadn't received the kit, I requested the status of my application. On Nov 4, 2010, I was told they couldn't find me in their system and to please send the information again. I sent the info again and on Nov 12, 2010 I received the onboarding kit. I logged in and filled in the business information and uploaded my feed. On Nov 16, 2010, I received an email stating that my feed passed validation and to allow 14 business days for the products to show up. It has been 16 days and the products don't show on Bing Shopping.
I sent an inquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org (twice) and my emails bounce back with an error of 'CNAME lookup temporarily failed'.
I have logged into the new self serve portal and I see my feed listed with a status of OK.
I would appreciate any suggestions that anyone can offer as to what my next step should be. It will soon be time to upload a new feed and the first one hasn't populated yet.

Contact me directly at email@example.com with your webstore name and we can troubleshoot what's going on with your account.
The same story with me. I already followed all the steps, inclusing migrating to the adCenter account. These are my problems now:
- As far as I know, my products have not been published according to the logs in my own web site
- As far as I know, my products have not been published given that there is no way in the bing shopping administration site to see if my feed hs been published, nor which products have been accepted or not
- Where are the tools for the troubleshooting? I don't see them on my AdCenter account. I just see the Store settings, Catalog management and FTP settings.
- In Tools/Bing Shopping Account Management/Catalog Management I see "Last feed file updated (UTC): 12/5/2010 3:42:27 AM ", however in the table of recent feeds (at the bottom of the page) I don't see anything.
I'm still totally, absolutelly confussed.
My account name is "ManualsParadise".
When did you migrate your adCenter account?
Is the feed updated on the 5th your first feed uploaded?
Are you uploading to Bing Shopping's FTP or are you publishing your feed to a unique URL?
I migrated it one week ago.
I have uploaded... I would say between 10 and 15 feeds. the last one was uploaded today, a few hours ago.
I'm using FTP, and that seems to work. This is the current content of my "recent uploads" log file:
OK Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 7:50 AM (PST) Product catalog received. bingshopping.txt (173.05 MB) extracted from bingshopping.zip
OK Saturday, December 04, 2010 at 7:42 PM (PST) Product catalog received. bingshopping.txt (173.05 MB) extracted from bingshopping.zip
OK Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 10:46 AM (PST) Product catalog received. bingshopping.txt (373.87 MB) extracted from bingshopping.zip
OK Thursday, October 07, 2010 at 11:32 AM (PST) Product catalog received. bingshopping.txt (173.05 MB) extracted from bingshopping.zip
So your products were being listed in October and November
on Bing Shopping through your old FTP, or have your products not been
live yet on Bing Shopping?
If you have an old FTP address that
your products were being published live through, try to send your data
feed to that address once.
You have quite a large product file
and it has been 5 business days since migration. If your feeds are
uploading it may take a few more days for your product file to go live.
I have never, ever seen any results whatsoever. I have never seen my products published, not even my feed described as published, nothing. Basically, I have uploaded my file and the log in the FTP directory acknowledges that I did it, but after that: nothing.
Did Bing say your feed passed validation through the old Merchant Center (the FTP credentials and username / password you were connecting to before the switch to the adCenter)?
If not your account may have not completely passed "inspection."
I have a hunch part of the problem is your products don't have images. Bing Shopping has had a problem with products without images and is working on a solution.
For the time being, use a filler image for all of your products (a logo or a generic manual picture) to supply the information in this column.
Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can check a sample of your data feed before your next upload.
I never saw any information about my feed being valid or not. As I told you, after sending my feed the only feedback I have received is the log file in the FTP directory, that acknowledges that I uploaded a file and that the file was extracted from the ZIP. After that, no result/feedback whatsoever.
I will send you the email with a sample of my feed, thanks a lot!
Is there any kind of phone support in Microsoft for Bing Shopping? Or online support? I mean, besides asking for support in this forum (and receiving your very kind help), is there a way to reach somebody at Microsoft that might check their system and tell me what is really going on?
Unfortunately there is no phone support for Bing Shopping. I have a strong hunch that your feed is not being published because there are no images. Once I get an example of your data feed in a file format I will make recommendations for you to implement in order to get listed.
I did find out that freehelp is an alternate email. However, freeshop finally started working again. Thank you.
According to the Bing Shopping support, the following things are not working properly.
The validation is not working correctly.
The site search is not working correctly. ex: site:website.com On my site this returns 21 products of the 291 that were uploaded and are there when I do individual searches.
I have one product in the feed that is not showing up (the first one) and support turned it over to engineering to research. The response I got was "Engineering tells me they cannot determine why certain isolated products do not display such as your Gund Wooly Bear."
I asked if we would be notified when all of the bugs are fixed and was told that the information would be posted on this board.
@V J, it's good to see that your products are live. Bing Shopping is having problems with the site search feature as you know. I hope you've scheduled your feed to upload at least once per month to display fresh data.
I'm happy to take a look at your Gund Wooly Bear product in your data feed and discuss workarounds with you.
@Futuro Futuro, after your products go live initially, feed updates take 48-72 hours on average to process and go live.
If it's been longer than this, please e-mail me directly at email@example.com with a copy of your data feed and I will evaluate it for any errors.
