Thanks for visiting! We’re glad you’re here and will do our best to help you find answers to your questions. Please take a minute to read through the below information as it will help you locate helpful resources, navigate the forums and identify the different people here.
Before You Post: Bidding, Budgets & Billing Resources
Before you post a question to this forum, you may want to first check out Bing Ads Help files on the Microsoft Advertising for Small Business site. Some of the information you'll find there includes, but is not limited to:
In addition, there are several other options for finding answers to all things Bing Ads :
If none of these options yield the answer to your question, feel free to post your question and we will track down the answer for you.
How to Use the Microsoft Advertising Community Forums
1.) Post: Once you post your question, if another Community member doesn’t respond, you can expect someone from our Support staff to reply within 24-48 hours, Monday through Friday (posts published on weekends will be responded to the following business day).
2.) Suggest: After responses have appeared in your thread, you may see that someone will “Suggest” an answer as a possible solution that you could try. If you try it and it doesn’t work, be sure to respond back to the thread with what happened when you tried the suggestion, providing as much detail as possible.
3.) Verify: Once you have arrived at a solution to your issue, please mark the response that ultimately helped you as “Verified”. “Verified” answers jump to the top of the response thread, making it easy for future visitors with the same question you had to find the answer they’re looking for.
The Bing Ads Forum Response
In some cases, your description of the issue you’re having may not be enough to give our support staff the insight they need to properly diagnose the problem and offer a solution. When this happens, we may request that you contact support for further investigation.
In order to keep your information private, we have set up an email address expressly for this purpose. As this mailbox is only used for collecting information when it’s been requested, it is only checked for responses after a request has been made; questions being sent directly to it (rather than being posted in the forum) will go unanswered.
Please post your initial question in the forum first, if our support staff needs access to your Bing Ads account, we will advise you to contact support.
If you would prefer to use one-on-one email support or would like to speak to someone on the phone, you’ll find the links to do so on our Support Page.
Who’s Who in the Microsoft Advertising Community
Not only is the Microsoft Advertising Community made up of small business owners, agency reps, freelance SEM experts, and other advertising industry professionals, but also a mix of people across different teams here at Microsoft. In order to help you differentiate who’s who here in the forums, you’ll notice the following abbreviations after each person’s name:
Bing Ads Support: SUP / SUP.UK
Here in the forums, you’ll see this abbreviation regularly as they belong to our Bing Ads Support representatives (the .UK denotes that particular rep's location on the UK team). These are some of the same folks who are on the other end of the line when you use the phone numbers and email links on our Support Page.
Bing Ads Development: DEV
In an effort to enable direct communication between our advertisers and the engineers who are actively working to improve our platforms and tools, you will find members of the Bing Ads Development teams participating here. The Desktop team is currently the most active here on the forums, but other teams have recently expressed interest in getting involved, so keep an eye out for this designation popping up in other forums soon.
Bing Ads Platform/Tool Program and Product Managers: PM
Program and Product Managers help drive the strategy and execution behind updates to Bing Ads and the tools that work with it. Like Support and Development, they're here to help, but you probably won't see them around too frequently as they're usually "heads down" (Microsoft-ese for working hard) on the next upgrade.
MSA Community staff (and all others not SUP, DEV or PM): MSFT
Used for all MSA Community staff and all others within Microsoft who do not fall into the Support, Development or Program Manager categories detailed above.
