Unable to use Content Network

Hello, I am fairly new to Pay Per Click Advertising. I have been learning and using Adcenter for about 2 months now. The search network ads with keyword bidding works good. I have few testing campaigns on my account. But I am facing a problem while trying to setup a content network campaign. After I setup my ad and choose "Placement" option, I am getting this error:

 " Microsoft adCenter is experiencing problems

Microsoft adCenter is experiencing a problem that prevents it from continuing.   Information that can help resolve the problem is now being sent to the adCenter site maintenance team.   You can return to the Microsoft adCenter sign-in page now, or sign in again later. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

Return to the Microsoft adCenter sign-in page. "

I thought it was something with my browser. So I switched browsers and updated .net framework. I am using IE8 and Firefox 4 now. This problem occurs on both browsers.

How to solve this problem and get started with content network? Anyone else got this problem and how did you resolve it?

  • Contacted the support few days ago for the issue. But they can't figure out the problem either. They told me to wait till Microsoft comes with any updates in future. That seems like a long waiting period anyway. So till then I can only use keyword bidding and not placement option.

  • Hello Jijo Joy,

    Go to "ad group settings" and choose advanced settings, then add distribution and click the content network button.

    If this doesn't solve your issue, please call or e-mail support and open a ticket up for this issue. They will need to gather information from you to investigate.

  • Thanks for your reply. However that is when the error occurs, ie when selecting 'content network' and clicking next button.

  • Would like to know if there is any update for this problem. Since other advertisers can access 'placement' option without any problem, it really is disappointing for me.
