Developing a Windows Phone app which I hope to publish soon. Just registered w/ adCenter and "dropped a control on my main form".
Got a few general questions on how to get started / how things work...
Suppose I have "pages" that employ pivots (or panomaras). Should I position ad above pivot or within pivot? If I put above, ad would stay fixed and content would roll. Ad control on each pivot page?
When a user swipes (e.g. pivots page to page in the same form), does it count as an impression each time ad is displayed?
What defines an impression. Do I make more money if user switches page to page, form to form, or has a lot of "facetime" with ap?
Is there a technique to make extra money based on how they use the app? (e.g. start new game, shake phone etc...).
Thanks for your Post! When your ad is activated by a keyword it’s called an impression. Once that impression is clicked on it’s called a click and your client can go into your website. Once the ad is clicked on, ad Center has completed with its task. What task the client has to employ for your commission within your website we aren’t involved with. I don’t see a relevance of positioning ads above or within pivots since we do not employ pivots. I Hope this answer’s your questions.

I am very confused now...
So I place an ad in my app, merchants bid on it based on a payout per 1000 impressions. Let's assume $1.00 bid. As such, each time ad presented is an impression so I get 1 cent for each 10 views?
What do you mean by "activated by a keyword". Is that something I need to do to call up an ad from within my app? Who keeps track of this anyway or how do I know if the number is accurate. Should I be counting myself and somehow sending messages home?
From what I've seen in apps I have sampled, I assume ads are presented from one or more "bidding vendors?" so that user sees a rotation of ads from the same control? Is there one active vendor (highest bidder) for a given day? What happens if I have no ads to display?
I don't understand your statement that you don''t employ pivots. A pivot is the normal windows phone control where user swipes left or right to display different panels (e.g. on Mail you see all, unread, urgent). Panorama is like the "People Hub". I think my question is, if I put ad on a page/panel, when user swipes it will go off the page. Should I put the same control on each page? Do I get paid for each impression?
I will implement/test later today (assume I will see some sort of ad if I deploy to my machine?). I am curious if I will I see any counts prior to going to market? As such, I may answer some of these questions as a followup comment later on.
Just thought I'd ask because I didn't see this described in my initial readings and figure I'm not the only one asking..
I understand now what you’re asking. This forum is to assist our clients that have questions about the computer based ad Center for Windows. We really can’t assist you with creating a phone app. I really apologize. The link I’m adding is for free training on how ad center works. You may be able to take some of that information and recreate it for a phone app. Currently ad Center doesn’t allow clients to sign up or even login using a phone or a tablet even with a complete browser because of the bulk of information required. I wish you luck in your endeavor.
