Here's the link to Microsoft's system requirements for adCenter. It clearly lists support for Mac OS X and Safari, Chrome & Firefox. I'm using OS X 10.7.3 "Lion" and the latest versions of each browser. Based on this I decided to reactivate my account. However when I try to log in I get the following message:
I've checked all settings and they are set as instructed. I called adCenter Advertiser Support and despite telling the support person that I'm using a Mac they proceeded reading from a script to trouble shoot as if I were using a Windows PC. I had to laugh when they asked if I could use Internet Explorer. "Only if Microsoft made Internet Explorer available for the Mac" I replied.
After requesting to speak to the next level of support I spoke to someone who at least wasn't reading from a script. He sent a quick message to an "Engineer" to see if they knew what the problem could be. The "Engineer" replied that Mac's weren't supported. I gave him the link to the System requirements which clearly state Mac support. At that point I was told that there wasn't much he could do until he heard from the engineers.
So at this point does anyone have any ideas or solutions on how log on to my adCenter account using Safari, Chrome or Firefox?
I think I've tracked down the problem. I use AgileBits' "1Password" password management software program. This is a popular software program on the Macintosh to manage all kinds of passwords for online accounts etc. Anyway when I have 1Password automatically fill-in the username and password fields at adCenter's login screen I get the error. When I manually copy and paste the information I can log in. I can duplicate this behavior on multiple Mac's at different locations.
Anyway I hope this helps any other Mac users with this particular setup because in all fairness while the adCenter people were generally sympathetic they are overwhelmingly geared to troubleshooting and helping Windows users and are not very familiar with the Mac.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. The browser support update just released last month, so it may be a simple case of the Support team's documentation needing to be updated. I'm forwarding this along to the appropriate contacts to ensure everything is current.
I'll do some digging to see if I can track down what the issue might be, do you have an SRX ID from when you contacted Support?

Great, thanks! I've forwarded this along to the Support team and will update this thread as soon as I have more information for you.
Stay tuned! :)
Thanks so much for coming back to follow up! After I forwarded your SRX ID along to support, the adCenter development team to help troubleshoot... I'll let them know you located the issue so we can make sure to account for this in our support documentation.
Thanks again and glad you figured it out! :)
I just logged into my account by manually entering my un/pw...who'da thunk?? Now, I'm wondering why 1Password is causing an issue logging into Adcenter account?
